Stonebridge golfers are richly rewarded playing on a premier, residential 18-hole golf course and
practice facility designed by world-renowned golf course architect, Tom Fazio. Built in 1989,
the course plays 6,905 yards from the championship tees (Rating 73.1, Slope 136) and 5,285 yards
from the forward tees (Rating 71.0, Slope 124), offering a challenge to golfers of all skill levels.
Stands of oak trees, creeks, ponds and native grasses are utilized in Fazio's design that maximizes
the natural beauty of the setting while creating eighteen distinctly different holes on the
Stonebridge course.
Stonebridge recieved national attention as it hosted both the Ameritech Senior Open from
1991-1995 and the LPGA Kellogg-Keebler Classic from 2002-2004. Among the past winners of these events
were Hale Irwin, George Archer, Annika Sorenstam and Kari Webb.
Throughout the golf season, members enjoy a full schedule of golf tournaments and events ranging
from individual stroke and match play tournaments to the annual member-guest tournament, the
Bridge Classic. |

| Hole 1: 583 Yards, Par 5 |

A long but fair starting hole. Bunkers guard the left side of the fairway at
the first and second dogleg points. The right side of the fairway should be
favored to avoid trouble. A small, two-tiered green is strongly protected by
bunkers. |
| Hole 2: 366 Yards, Par 4 |

A medium-length hole that plays longer than the yardage on the card due to
prevailing winds. The fairway is protected on the right by several features
cut into the hillside. Selected tree planting provides framing and definition
for this hole. |

The longest par 3 on the golf course is mirrored by a pond on the left. A
large green is set near the water with the right portion of the approach and
the green hazard free. |

This medium-length par 4 plays downwind much of the time and is surrounded
by a meandering creek. The creek will collect errant tee shots on the right
side and off-target shots on the left at the green. |

Playing from an elevated tee, the golfer must strategically place the first
shot to avoid water and bunkers on the left and bunkers on the right. The
green has been placed around a portion of the pond and is protected front
left and back left by bunkers. |

This is an uphill hole carved into the hillside. The tee shot is dramatic and
must carry far enough for visibility to the green for the second shot. Both
sides of the fairway are protected by bunkers and the green is guarded on
the left by a series of bunkers. Large, beautiful trees frame

Designed to play downwind, this is the longest par 4 on the card. A series
of church pew-like bunkers protect the right side of the fairway. The green
is unusually large to accept the long residual shot required. A series of
features protect the right side of the green. |

The shortest par 3 on the course. It plays from elevated tees downhill but
into the wind. A small, tiered green is surrounded by a series of bunker
complexes. |

A downhill tee shot following the contour of the fairway will give some golfers
a chance to go for the green. However, the second shot will be demanding as
the green is well protected by a pond and a bunker on the left. Lay up shots
will have to negotiate water on the left and bunkers on the right. |

This picturesque, short par 4 is carved out of the oak forest that
surrounds the clubhouse. A tight, tree-lined fairway may require
an iron shot from the tee for placement. The small left-to-right
green is well protected by a series of bunkers to the left and back
and is surrounded by beautiful, mature oaks. |

This hole requires a straight tee shot out of a shoot of large trees.
The fairway is bunker-less but the downhill approach shot will find
a green protected on the right by a large bunker complex. |

the green on the left but the right side is completely open. |

This is a sharp dogleg left. The trees are farther than they appear
and the left side of the fairway and the green are both heavily
guarded by bunkers. |

This is the shortest par 5 on the course but it should prove to
be a demanding driving hole with water on the right. Golfers who
elect to go at the green in two must do so from a split-level fairway
that is heavily contoured. Their target will be a small green nestled
in an oak grove that is protected by a gaping bunker front right
and a small bunker that will play downhill. Lay-up second shots
will have to negotiate water on the right and bunkers and large
depressions on the left. |
| Hole 15: 380 Yards, Par 4 |

A par 4 with another shot from an elevated tee must be carefully
played between the bunkers left and large grass features on the
right. A well-placed shot will provide the best angle into a very
small green protected by bunkers on the left. |

This is another short par 4 requiring exact placement of the tee
shot for the best angle and visibility to the green. The green is
very shallow and protected by three bunkers in front. This is a
finesse type of hole that will test a golfer’s skill. |

This hole is a long par 3 carved out of an oak grove with a very
natural setting for the large green. Even though the oak grove will
diminish the effect of the wind, this hole will require a wood or
long iron for most players. |
| Hole 18: 550 Yards, Par 5 |

This is truly a great finishing hole. Its features include a large
water hazard, a meandering stream and a small green set against
large oak trees. The green is reachable in two for the long accurate
hitter. The tee shot has water right and bunkers left. An elevated
landing area offers a view of the creek which protects the green
on the right. Bunkers protect the left side of the second dogleg
and the left side of the green. |
